Proudly based within The Midlands, KMB Shipping is the leading freight forwarding company within the industry. Established in 1987 and now operating on a worldwide scale, KMB have worked in a myriad of areas for a huge variety of customers.

Billing themselves as a one-stop-shop for all shipping needs - be it a single parcel or abnormal quantities of goods - KMB offer their full-package service to customers across a vast array of industries. Unlike many in the industry, they are equipped with a full customs documentation department, meaning they can handle everything in-house.

Paul Hull, Director of KMB Shipping, describes how the company’s personal approach allows them to foster both a highly-motivated workforce and effective customer service. “That’s how we retain and excel at business,” says Mr. Hull. As a family-run entity, KMB ensures that their friendly and relationship-focused attitude shines through at every level of operation.

This approach is proving to be a successful one, considering KMB Shipping have recently won the 2019 Small Business of the Year Award - the third prestigious award they’ve received within the last 12 months. They’ve also been shortlisted for the Birmingham Chambers of Commerce Award.

As well as their continued success worldwide, KMB are passionate about their community. With their recent appointment of two apprentices from local colleges, they prioritise the value of taking on new talent and equipping them with everything they need to succeed within the industry.

“We’re keen on giving young people a real opportunity,” states Mr. Hull, going on to say that a place is always made for apprentices once they’ve finished their training, and that many of their staff have been with KMB for over twenty years.

KMB Shipping are also very active in local and domestic charities. Working with the Teddy Trust, KMB have utilised their skills to ship over 40,000 teddy bears to children abroad. Most recently, they’ve supported a local initiative in providing free food tokens to children in Dudley.

In high spirits from all of their recent achievements, KMB will be participating in the upcoming Made in the Midlands exhibition. They’ll be offering new potential customers a free transport audit, through which they can offer their expert advice and experience to let you know exactly where you can be improving in your exports.
